Solutions and market-leading products built on our DirectCore™ Control System
A Total Energy management Platform
We deliver a control system capable of managing and optimizing any energy source and any power load, acting as a microgrid to control an entire facility or as an intelligent grid controller capable of integrating with the grid and utilizing local resources and services to strengthen and take pressure and capacity off of the grid.
Multiple sources of generation
We deliver local power generation, including distributed solar and wind power, inorganic waste to energy systems, and biofuel power plants. Local power generation reduces the strain on the central grid and makes our electricity supply more resilient, especially in the event of a power outage.
Grid-tied revenues and services
Energy storage can be designed, located, and operated such that commercial customers and grid operators can generate revenue from the regional grid operator. These function include demand response, frequency regulation, and other “ancillary services.” Energy storage can monetize these ISO services, thus delivering further value to commercial operations.
Microgrids: Energy independence
Foundation Power provides complete energy solutions including solar, storage, and generation that not only help you save and make money, but we also provide “energy islanding,” allowing your system to operate even when the grid is down (something solar alone can’t do).

A Total Energy Control Platform
Our open-platform DirectCore™ Energy Management System (EMS) is a unique and powerful system that reaches across renewable resources, inverters, battery storage, and the utility grid to deliver energy savings, ongoing energy resilience and security, and new-found revenue.
Waste to Energy
Foundation Power offers an advanced gasification waste-to-energy solution. It is containerized and typically deployed in 40 ft containers for easy transport. It processes any form of organic or synthetic waste including tires and hard plastics that other systems cannot process (with the exceptions of glass and hard metals). The system is carbon-consuming, and all systems produce carbon credits.
Solar Power
Micro Wind Turbines
Our vertical axis wind turbines offer up to eight times greater power production per square foot than a solar installation of the same footprint. With the opportunity to produce energy in areas where space is limited, such as city and urban environments or where microgrids operate solely on solar and gensets like islands and remote facilities, a microgrid can see a potential increase in annual power output by up to 25 percent.
Biodigestion
Biodigesters allow not only for the production of energy that can be generated from biomethane but can also be used to produce fuels such as diesel and jet fuel from the same organic components, in addition to producing energy. Biodigesters use specifically organic waste to provide a constant and steady source of both energy and usable gases.
Gensets
Gas and diesel generators have long been the back-up system of choice for business and government organizations. Foundation Power can utilize these assets to allow for a smooth and long-term age-out of these assets to gain maximum savings while allowing for new solutions to be introduced when the time is right.

Local Energy Storage
high-speed Flywheel
A carbon fiber wheel rotates extremely fast in order to store and discharge energy. It can charge and discharge at a rate 50x faster than Lithium-Ion batteries and weighs only approximately 10% of the weight of chemical batteries. They deploy in a sealed, waterproof, airtight container. The high-capacity chargers can operate at 300 or 400 kW; which is three to four times that of a Tesla Supercharger or Ford fast charger.
Lithium Ion Batteries
Our energy storage technologies include stationary battery storage systems that are ideal for both commercial and industrial-scale operations, as well as portable battery storage systems that are ideal for critical field and emergency services operations. We optimize energy capture and release 24/7 across the broadest range of energy sources, inverters, solar panels, and battery types.
The economics of energy storage
The economics of energy delivery goes far beyond what most end users picture when they flip on a light switch or turn on the AC. There are real-time and forecasted energy markets, utility and state programs, federal incentives, and many other pieces of the electricity delivery economic system.
Portable Power Systems
Foundation Power offers RemoteCore™ Portable Energy – smaller-scale, containerized energy storage, waste-to-energy, solar, and wind systems for use in any circumstances where portable power is required. Our systems can be deployed in multiple applications including, but not limited to remote facilities, military, government, non-profit, disaster relief and first response scenarios.
Legacy batteries
The key to incorporating legacy batteries into a new system is using a powerful battery management system (BMS). The BMS sits inside the larger energy management system (EMS) and monitors and controls the battery system. This is a valuable added feature that helps ensure that the batteries are properly charged, discharged, and protected from damage.
Emerging Technologies and chemistries
New products, such as solar optimizers, and battery chemistries, such as lithium titanate, have the potential to revolutionize the way we generate, store, and use energy. By improving performance, lowering costs, and increasing safety. Foundation Power is ready to adopt them into our platform.
About Foundation Power
We sell from commercial to utility-scale renewable energy systems based on our DirectCore™ Energy Management System (EMS) that integrates solar, wind turbine, biomass, and advanced gasification energy generation with energy storage that utilizes lithium ion or advanced flywheel systems, either as a self-contained microgrid or as a source of revenue generation and optimization if connected to the grid.
