Biodigestion
Biodigestion is a biological process that converts organic matter into biogas. Biogas is a renewable energy source that can be used to generate electricity.
The biodigestion process takes place in a digester, which is a large container, where the organic matter is mixed with water and heated activates the bacteria that break down the organic matter, releasing biogas.
The biogas produced by biodigestion is a mixture of methane, carbon dioxide, and other gases. The methane content of biogas is typically around 60%, which makes it a valuable source of renewable energy.
